Terms of Service

StatSage (statsage.app) is a statistical analysis and reporting tool. It profiles datasets you upload, recommends and runs statistical tests using established open-source statistical engines, and generates publication-style reports. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use StatSage.

StatSage is a decision-support tool, not a statistical consultant, and its output is not professional advice. You remain responsible for verifying results and for how you use them — in a thesis, publication, business decision or anywhere else. Sections of output that are AI-generated are clearly labelled and must be reviewed by you before use. Reports are "publication-style" drafts: final academic judgment always rests with the researcher and their institution's requirements.

• You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate account information.
• Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person per account. Institutional licensing is not yet offered — contact us if you need it.

• Only upload data you have the right to use — with any consent, ethics approval or organisational permission that applies. See the Privacy Policy for de-identification guidance.
• No unlawful content, no attempts to breach security, probe other users' data, or disrupt the service.
• No automated scraping or reselling of the service without our written permission.

• Free — uploading, profiling, test recommendations, running analyses and viewing full results on screen, plus the sample size calculator.
• Thesis Pass (S$34.99, one-time) — unlocks Word and PDF report downloads for 90 days from purchase. It is not a subscription; access simply ends when the period does.
• Pro (S$14.99/month) — unlocks report downloads for as long as the subscription is active. Cancel anytime via the link in your receipt; access continues to the end of the paid period.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record — they are the seller of record for your purchase, and their checkout terms also apply. Prices may change; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.

Because paid plans grant immediate digital access, purchases are final once access is granted. We may, at our discretion, refund duplicate purchases or purchases where a technical fault on our side prevented you from using what you paid for — email hello@statsage.app and we will look at it case by case. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable law that cannot be excluded.

Your datasets remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store and process them to provide the service to you. Retention, deletion and our processors are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We may permanently delete datasets when their retention period lapses, when you delete them, or when an account is closed.

We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may improve or change features over time. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your reports and data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including academic or business outcomes based on analyses), and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Statistical results depend on the quality and suitability of the data supplied.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable. On closure, your data is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be dated above, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
